Rob Lee, this fine work stands in the vicinity of Chartres Cathedral,
one of the great sacred monuments of Europe, welcoming each person who
comes. Could there be a better way to contrast the achievements of the
middle ages with what we are able to do today?
The very first entry,
Tuscany's figurehead symbol for
contemporary art. Could there have been a better choice? Could there
